This piece was modeled after an antique medallion Lynda stumbled upon while in one of her many adventures. The story of this particular symbol is a mystery, but we used it on this pendant to celebrate the history of the eagle in heraldry. Inherited from early medieval tradition, it has been used throughout time as a charge, a supporter, a crest, and a coat of arms. The bald eagle is the American national bird, symbolizing strength and freedom.  Richly steeped in history, it adds a personal touch to any look.  A great conversation piece that will draw many admirers.
