Description

This unique Irish Setter medal was made by French Artist Augustin Lesage (1876-1954).  Lesage was born in 1876 to a coal mining family, and was sent to work in the coal mines at an early age.  When he was 35 years old he claimed he heard a voice speak to him stating "one day you will be a painter".  From 1912 he started producing a regular output of paintings.  At first he never signed his painting, then began signing them "Leonardo Da Vinci".  It was only later he began using his own signature.  This beautiful pendant was won in Morocco would be great addition to any jewelry chest.
