Description
This beautiful sterling silver medal was made by Artist CJ. Begeer Utrecht. He designed this medal in 1902, for the Netherlands Dutch Kennel Club Cynophilia. Great Danes are both majestic and elegant but most commonly known for being one of the largest breeds. Danes are believed to originate in Germany and date back to the 16th century. They are believed to be descendants between English Mastiffs and Irish Wolfhounds, but we know them as graceful gentle giants.
