This beautiful Boxer award was made by French sculptor and medalist, George Contaux (1981-1984). Bred for hunting and working, the Boxer, is a distinct breed that originated in Germany in the  late 19th century.  As a member of the bull breeds, they have not been around long, but the characteristics of this amazing breed have been represented on tapestries that date back to the 16th century.  This pendant is a great piece of art to be worn by any Boxer or dog lover.
