The "EL" monogram on this pendant was inspired by an antique bed linen from the collection of Robin Molbert, a dealer of French textiles and owner of the online shop Fleur d'Andeol. Her beautiful collection was featured in the book The Art of the Monogram (2013), by Cynthia Brumback, as well as being highlighted in Victoria Magazine. Crown above denotes the royal rank marquis, pave diamond bail, ivy tendrils down side & curled edges on bottom, detachable twisted bail.

His sunshine and joy
Looking at the beautiful pendant he had commissioned for his beloved Edith, the Marquis of Exeter was filled with joy. He had always considered himself a man of duty, putting off personal happiness for the betterment of the crown. He had spent years building up his estate to bring it to the turn of the century. Nothing turned his eye from this important work until he met her. His Edith was pure sunshine. She brought warmth into his life. On this night, the eve of his wedding, he planned on giving his bride-to-be this pendant containing her new monogram, which would be a constant reminder of his love for her.
