The "AF" is a royal monogram in the Empire scripted style, and was found in the book: Dictionnaire Chiffre-Monogramme (1881) Paris, France by the heraldic artist, Charles Demengeot. The "AF" monogram includes the crown of a royal king. It was carefully replicated and placed on the sterling silver pendant. The pendant has an attached sterling silver bale. Although simple in form, the artful swirls of the two letters are a beautiful representation of the Empire style. A great historical based gift for someone special or a lover of the Empire style or even if the letters have a special meaning like "always family or always friends).
