An excellent example of a royal's Victorian monogram, this beautiful set of earrings features the monogram of the Princess Louise, Duchess of Argyle, sixth child and fourth daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. An artist and sculptor in her own right, the "LL" is a classic two letter monogram with one being the mirror image of the "L". Lynda found the monogram on the epaulet of Louise’s regiment. Unusual for her time, Louise was a strong supporter of the arts and higher education for all. These two fine pieces of sterling silver earrings with intricate monograms were carefully cutout by Lynda to enhance the effect and to lighten the weight. A significant piece for a collector of historical based art and an inspiring conversation piece when worn. Beyond a gift for one with the initial "L", it can also have a special meaning for a special someone (e.g. Lovely Lady, Lasting Love, etc.). A real showstopper whenever worn and can be matched with an LL pendant.
