Rising before the sun and spending time in prayer, Friar Giovanni starts another day in service to the church. After breakfast and morning mass Friar Giovanni begins again on his life's work. His order is in charge of transcribing and creating new intricate and ornately handcrafted copies of the Bible. Each friar is tasked with creating a book with this task spanning a lifetime. Sitting in the light of his window inside his room he places the book before him and looks to the alphabet chart carefully painted on canvas and hanging on the wall in front of his desk. Each letter is delicately complex within its shape creating art within a single letter. Picking up his quill from his ink well he sets out to begin another chapter in the book of Isaiah.
