An excellent example of a royal's Victorian monogram, this beautiful piece features the monogram of the Princess Louise, Duchess of Argyle, sixth child and fourth daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. An artist and sculptor in her own right, the "LL" is a classic two letter monogram with one being the mirror image of the "L". Lynda found the monogram on the epaulet of Louise’s regiment. The border image is from an antique hair brooch from Galway, Ireland. Unusual for her time, Louise was a strong supporter of the arts and higher education for all. A significant piece for a collector of historical based art and an inspiring conversation piece when worn.
