Description
This unique pendant is a replica of the coat of arms of Cologne, Germany. The arms of this city have existed for some 1000 years. In the 16th century, these arms were Argent, on a chief Gules with three crowns between 1550-1580. The crowns symbolize the "Magi" (Three Wise Men) whose bones are said to be kept in a golden sarcophagus in a Cologne Cathedral. This sterling silver pendant, with four 24K gold orbs , was form a dog exhibition of all breeds, and was awarded 2nd place, April 28-30,1899.
