Description
This handmade, one-of-a-kind pendant is an excellent example of the Germanic "Rundgotisch Alphabet" being used in an Art Nouveau monogram from the 1800s. It came from the German book "Monogramme und Dekorationen" by Wilhelm Diebener, published in Leipzig in 1908. The "GG" monogram is placed in a beautiful rectangular frame with a crown, signifying royalty. It was replicated as a sterling silver pendant with a hidden bail. The frame's detailed border was cut out to enhance its ornate design. A splendid gift for anyone with a love of Art Nouveau or one with "GG" initials, but it is especially perfect for a great grandmother or future great grandmother.
Beautiful cut-out edge design; a central crown on top of the piece.
