Description
This handmade, one of a kind pendant is an excellent example of the Germanic "Rundgotisch alphabet" being used in an Art Nouveau monogram from the 1800's. It came from the German book: "Monogramme und Dekorationen", by Wilhelm Diebener, published in Leipzig in 1908. The "GG" monogram is placed in a beautiful rectangular frame with a crown, signifying royalty. It was replicated as a sterling silver pendant with a hidden bale. The frame's detailed border was cut out to enhance its ornate design. A splendid gift for anyone with a love of Art Nouveau or one with "GG" initials; but it is especially perfect for a great grandmother or future great grandmother.
