This distinct Danish Kennel Club was founded March 1, 1897.  It was Denmarks largest organization for dogs enthusiast.  Originally it was strictly for hunting dogs, but today the club honors all breeds.  This great medal represents the club in its early years, showing a hunting dog on the prowl.
