Description
An interesting "UT" monogram that is elegantly crafted in the cursive style and is from the book "A Complete Book of Monograms and Ciphers" (1906) by the heraldic artist AA Turbayne, London, England. It is replicated and placed with raised edges on a crest-shaped sterling silver pendant that matches the form of the "UT." It is framed by a biased edging with oxidation in order to make the monogram the focal point of the artwork. It has a detachable bail. As with most 2-letter interlaced monograms, the initials can either be "UT" or "TU." The monogram is a splendid gift for anyone with the initials or a college grad (University of Texas, University of Tennessee, etc.), or as a majestic work of art. When worn, the artfully woven letters will attract many admirers.
Loose bail; biased edging with oxidization; nice smooth finish; raised monogram with medium oxidization.
