Description
From Lynda's collection of military buttons, this magnificently crafted unit insignia of the British Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC) was lifted and placed on this sterling silver set of cufflinks. Formed in 1898, the RAMC can trace its origins back to 1660. The striking insignia includes the Rod of Asclepius, imperial crown at the top, and a laurel wreath surrounding the rod. The cufflinks have a thin darkened border, and the image is lightly oxidized to enhance its features. A wonderful gift for anyone in medicine or anyone who served in a military medical corps.
