This piece was modeled from an 1778 coin bearing the Cyrillic monogram of Catherine the Great, Empress of Russia and the longest running female leader. Featuring a smooth background and hand chiseled border, this piece is exquisite and an amazing conversation starter.  Catherine the Great was Polish and not Russian.  She arranged for the overthrow of her husband. Once done, she was proclaimed the sole ruler. An amazing addition to any jewelry collection.
