This exquisite piece of jewelry was inspired by a French Marianne medal from 1921.  The art nouveau design of her, on this medal is very unique considering older versions of Marianne as seen everywhere in France from architecture to fine arts.   Marianne is the national symbol of the French Republic, and is the personification of liberty and reason.  This medal was replicated by Lynda and now adorns this beautiful sterling silver pendant crowned with ivy, symbolizing friendship and fraternity you will also notice a tiny little Queen honey bee has landed on the ivy.  Could it be France still has a Queen???  This pendant has a sterling silver bale and can be worn with either a neck collar or large chain.  A fabulous piece of fine jewelry to own, and a future heirloom to be passed down.  This is a great gift for a mother or that very special someone in your life.
