Description

The beautifully crafted Coat-of-Arms on this set of clip earrings comes from a British Royal Arms Officer's button, worn between 1871 and 1901.  The lion stands for England and the unicorn for Scotland.  The combination dates back to the 1603 accession of James I of England who was already James VI of Scotland. They have also been used in the Coat-of-Arms of Canada since 1921.  Lynda carefully lifted the ornate image and placed it on the two sterling silver earrings.  They come with clips, and the area around the pronounced image was darkened to enhance the appearance of the image.  An unusual but striking piece of historically based jewelry, it is a splendid work of art.  When worn, it will result in lots of admirers with many questions.  A great gift for yourself or someone special.

Sterling Silver; Features British Coat-of-Arms; Clip backings; Darkened to enhance image; Symbols of both England and Scotland

0.9 x 0.9 inches each      15.8 Grams total weight for the two
